Nurturing children, Supporting the home

My Story

I’m Sadel Santana—born and raised in New Jersey—and I come from a big family, so caring for kids has always come naturally to me. At 13, I became Red Cross Certified as a babysitter, and from there I started working with children outside my family and never stopped. Today, I’m a career private nanny who’s spent nearly two decades working inside families’ homes, supporting parents through the real day-to-day rhythm of life with little ones. Working privately with families has given me a deep understanding of how culture, schedules, values, and household dynamics shape what’s actually realistic—because no two homes (or kids) are the same.

Alongside my work as a nanny, I’m also a Certified Pediatric Sleep Coach and Child Care Consultant. As a sleep coach, I help parents make sleep feel doable again—working through things like frequent night wakes, short naps, early mornings, bedtime battles, and rocking/feeding to sleep that’s no longer working. We look at your child’s age and development, your routine and schedule, temperament, sleep environment, and what you’re comfortable with—then I create a clear, step-by-step sleep plan with support and adjustments as you implement.

As a child care consultant, I help you understand your options and choose the best-fit care for your unique family—nanny, daycare, nanny share, family support, or a mix. We’ll walk through the differences, pros/cons, and what to consider before deciding (your child’s age and temperament, your schedule, budget, flexibility, backup coverage, and what kind of support you want day-to-day) so you can make a confident choice. This can include defining what you actually need, creating a job description, understanding pay and norms, building interview questions, spotting red/green flags, and setting up routines and communication once care starts so things feel steady, respectful, and sustainable.

When you're ready, I'd love to help YOUR family. ✨
